The present investigation aims to study the feelings of job satisfaction experienced by bank employees in Greece. In addition, it is studied how much the above feelings are affected by several demographic factors, like gender, age, educational level, years of experience in the specific institution, total years of experience and position held in the specific institution. The method which was preferred in the frame of the study was the quantitative research method. The tool which was used for the measurement of job satisfaction was the Employee Satisfaction Inventory, ESI, created by Koustelios, 1991. It included 24 questions, which measure six dimensions of job satisfaction: 1. Working conditions (5 questions), 2. Earnings (4 questions), 3. Promotions (3 questions), 4. Nature of work (4 questions), 5. Immediate superior (4 questions) and 6. The institution as a whole (4 questions) (total Chronbach's α = 0.75). The responses were given in a five-level Likert scale: 1 = I strongly disagree, 5 = I strongly agree. The sample of the present study consisted of 230 employees of Greek banks and credit institutions. The results of the study showed that the feelings of job satisfaction experienced by Greek bank employees occur in quite high levels. Furthermore, it was found that job satisfaction is affected by several demographic characteristics, like age, gender, educational level and position held by the employee. However, further investigation should be carried out in the Greek population, so that the phenomenon of job satisfaction is well studied and promoted.

The present research paper examines the different approaches of organizational culture and stresses the fact that here could be differences between the desirable and the actual organizational culture. The research takes place on randomly selected Greek credit institutions using the OCAI instrument. A sample of 400 employees from different occupational positions participated in the study. It was found that the present organizational culture of the institutions is hierarchical and is not the one that the employees tied to promote which is the clan one. The implications of these findings are discussed and future studies are proposed.

Through the review of the literature review, it is indicated that job satisfaction is related among others to salary, organisational commitment, organisational support, life satisfaction, and work-life conflict. Job burnout is strongly related on the one hand to chronic stress and on the other on the persistent imbalance between demands and coping resources. Overall the review of the international bibliography indicates the need of coaches to support and educational programs for coping with stress, and acquiring skills related to communication, conflict resolution, negotiation. In addition, managers of the teams and the sports organisations and association should take into account motivation methods, and techniques of enhancing the organisational support and organisational commitment of coaches.

The exploration of the socio-economic environment constitutes a key dimension of the election campaign while adaption, and thus, the election preparation strategy of the candidate to the newly-formed socio-economic Greek status, appears necessary. Apart from the particular traits of each candidate, emphasis needs to be given to the organizational and administrative Structure of his/her political office, indeed, with a novel perspective based on a flexible Matrix Organization. Finally, communication mechanisms are suggested, aiming at restoring the credibility of political discourse and at attracting voters so that the candidate"s election goal is achieved in the most satisfactory manner.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to investigate the job burnout experienced by bank employees in Greece and how much they enjoy the feeling of personal accomplishment from their work. Also, the purpose of this study is to investigate the existence of possible factors affecting the level of the job burnout phenomenon. The purpose of this research was to study the phenomenon of job burnout among the employees of credit institutions in Greece. More specifically, the purpose of the study was not only finding if the employees were /or weren’t experiencing the job burnout syndrome but also to study whether this syndrome is related with various demographic characteristics such as age, sex, possession of a university degree, possession Master’s degree, years of experience and position held by the people in the institution and whether it is affected by these characteristics. For measuring job burnout the Inventory, suggested by Maslach and Jackson, was used (Maslach Burnout Inventory, MBI-Maslach & Jackson, 1986) and it was performed a quantitative research. According to the study’s results it was found that the burnout experienced by the Greek bank employees was kept in relatively low levels.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was: a) to investigate the level of "Work Engagement" and "Perceived Work Stress" in the Greek Banking Sector, b) to examine if the demographic characteristics affect the "Work Engagement" and "Perceived Work Stress" and c) to reveal the relationship between these two concepts. The sample of this study was 238 bank employees. To measure engagement, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) (Schaufeli et al., 2002b, Schaufeli & Bakker, 2004) was used. To measure perceived work stress was used the questionnaire that had been designed by Cohen and his associates (Cohen, Karmarck, & Mermelstein, 1983). The results show that the level of work Engagement of bank employees was high and that bank employees experienced a high level of work stress. Moreover, it was revealed that the gender, the age, the marital status, the level of studies, the year of service and the position that someone had in the bank affect both the levels of work Engagement and of perceived work stress. Furthermore, it was found that there is a negative correlation between Engagement and Perceived Work Stress.
