  1.            PURPOSE

The aim of the course is for students to understand the necessary skills that an executive must have in order to achieve flexible management of organizations and projects. Each of the participants involved as separate functional groups in the implementation of a project, as well as the importance and role of communication and negotiation procedures within the Project Management. The current trend in Project Management is the ever-increasing emphasis on relationship management. Relationship management has been recognized as the next generation Project Management (Davis & Pharro, 2003) and has led to its shift from “planning-based” to “relationship-oriented” Project Management (Meng & Boyd, 2017). In addition, the complexity of stakeholder relations in the projects seems to be one of the most important risks today for their smooth and successful implementation.Specifically, the aim of the course is to demonstrate the impact of relationship management on the design and implementation of projects in practice, which is presented at many levels, such as:

•       to improve communication through various media and to clarify the roles and responsibilities between the stakeholders of a project

•       the possibilities and prospects of developing trust between the project partners and managing strategic partnerships

•       the development of skills and the effectiveness of the negotiations required in the context of project management

•       better management of conflicts and disputes that often arise in the context of the implementation of a project

•       improving the overall resource management strategy

•       in the effective management of conflicting objectives in projects

•       the most efficient design of the work system

•       strengthening project risk and crisis management processes

The aim of the course is also the analysis of real case studies of projects to present the application of the principles and methods of relationship management in projects.
